Plane

Draws a rectangular planar NURBS surface from specified corner locations, two adjacent corners and a distance, perpendicular to the construction plane, or from a center.

Steps:

1. Pick

the first corner.

2. Pick the other corner or type a length.

Options

Note: Planes are drawn with the same options as the command.

Deformable

Sets the degree in the u- and v-directions
and the point count in the u- and v-directions.

UDegree/VDegree

Sets the degree of the surface in the u- and v-directions.

UPointCount/VPointCount

Number of points in the u- and v-directions. (Must be at least UDegree or VDegree+1.)

PlanarSrf

Creates a planar surface from planar curves that define the surface edges.

Steps:

• Select

planar curves that are all in the same plane.

Notes

• If the curves partially overlap, each curve produces a separate surface.

• If a curve is wholly within another curve then it will be treated as a hole boundary.

Fits a rectangular planar surface through point objects or a point cloud.

Steps:

• Select

three or more point objects.

MeshPlane

Creates a rectangular polygon mesh plane from specified corner locations, two adjacent corners and a distance, perpendicular to the construction plane, or from a center.

Options

Note: The mesh version has additional options for the number of mesh faces.

XFaces/YFaces

The number of faces in the x- and y-directions.

PictureFrame

Creates a rectangular planar surface with the specified bitmap image attached as a texture.

Steps:

1. Select a bitmap file.

2. Pick

a corner of the plane.

3. Pick or type the length.

4. The plane retains the same aspect (length to width) ratio as the image.

The bitmap image appears on the plane in the rendered
viewport or image.

Options

Vertical

Draws the picture frame plane vertical to the current construction plane.
